ADOLESCENT SERVICES

Because adolescence is a time of growth, exploration and developmental change, youth face problems that are unique to their generation. At Aldie, we recognize the special problems that teens face, and have created programming that addresses their specific needs. Throughout their course of treatment, adolescents are assisted in confronting and dealing with problems, rather than dulling emotional pain with alcohol or other drugs. The adolescent learns that making mistakes is human and a natural part of growing up.

Aldie offers a number of programs for adolescents experiencing problems with drugs and alcohol or those living with a caretaker who is addicted.

Program Services Include:

Group therapy sessions
Family counseling sessions
Individual counseling
Adolescent Partial Hospital Program

Similar to the adult Evening Recovery Program, this adolescent version incorporates relevant discussions on decision-making and sexuality, in addition to the more traditional topics of substance abuse for those youth experiencing serious problems with drugs and/or alcohol.

Coordination with schools and other social service agencies.
Specific adolescent assessment services
School-based intervention groups and presentations
